I'm having a photography block, I think! I just can't seem to find a shot I like. I took a lot today, but I'm just not happy and I seem to be searching for something new and different and can't find it! In any case, I have a client with a TON of humming birds, so I caught this shot of them today. I don't love it, but I didn't love anything I shot today really.
You are way too hard on yourself! I LOVE this shot. The colors are popping, the composition is perfect and the subject matter is original to the rest of the shots on the blog. I think this is a GREAT shot!
ReplyDeleteFWIW I get 'block' too but I realized yesterday when I was talking to Molly about giving myself writing assignments/deadlines that even when I don't feel like taking pictures I do because of the blog. I don't get a great shot every single day but my photography is improving because I have the assignment. And my overall love for photography hasn't diminished, even if sometimes I don't want to take pictures. I think the daily assignment can be taxing at times but that in the end its a good thing. Hang in there. :-) (Next year we'll do Project 52 and just do one pic per week, lol.)
I agree with Hope. This a great shot! Hummingbirds are hard to catch, or least I always fail at it. Don't be so hard on yourself. Great job!
