Black & white morning

I had a really nice morning shooting. I took my camera with me on my petsits, thinking maybe I could shoot another lovely sunrise and alas, there was no sunrise! Well, I'm sure there was, but it was behind a layer of clouds. I stopped quite a few times to take pictures and just really enjoyed the quiet morning to myself. Here are a few of the shots I took:

I love the animal prints in this one, it looks like someone was going in circles and confused! LOL


If you are easily offended, don't look too close at this one. I've been coveting this shot for a long time and revisited it this morning and think I was fairly successful at getting some feeling out of this. There's something that I like about the harshness of the graffiti and the cold beauty of nature behind it.

Nutcracker!

We were gone all day at the Nutcracker and I didn't take my camera out for more than a few minutes, but I got a few shots!

I enjoyed the sunrise this morning while I was out petsitting! I hear there is going to be SNOW this weekend, so that will lend itself to some good shots as well...

I've really struggled with these pictures and therefore haven't posted any. (I've alos been extremely busy with a family emergency.) I'm the least unhappy with these pics from my last photo shoot so I thought I'd share.

Another pic I took a while back that I played around with today. I like even better than I did before. I've mostly been working on making my pictures better but still realistic. I feel like I'm getting better at it so I'll probably need a new challenge soon. I'm thinking that I'll play around with my filters more. But tomorrow I have a photo shoot so the practice will have to wait.

and I'm not going to tonight, but I'm saving it up for this weekend! I have two photo shoots that I'm really looking forward to!

More eyes...

Still working on eyes. I'm really happy with the progress I'm making (thanks to lots of time on photo boards and youtube). The top picture is the original which I already really liked, in fact I didn't think I could like it any more. But a little work on the eyes and now I do!

22 weeks!

Summer is coming right along and she's the only person who graced my lens today, so she's gracing the blog again! :)

The eyes have it...

Another shot from Thanksgiving. I've been trying to work on my editing technique to make the eyes pop while still looking natural and not drastically changing the color. I still have a lot to learn but was pleased with this one. I have a photo shoot this weekend with this little cutie so you'll be seeing lots more of her! :)

Self reflection

So, I took this shot last spring/summer in an attempt to accept who I am for exactly who I am. I was pleased with it! What's funny is that now I've taken it and made it into a beauty shot. LOL. I wanted to give Rey a good photo of me to take in his truck, so I took the original and played with it until I liked how it looked. I think it came out pretty ok! Too bad I can't photoshop my face everyday when I wake up! LOL

Thankful for my girl...

Karen called me out for not posting on the blog so here I am! LOL This is one of my favorite shots from Thanksgiving day. Not so original, another shot of Kya, but I like it. :)

Shot these today at a client's house. This is Pete: LOVE his blue eyes!

and this is Pajamas...pronounced PA-JA-MAS. (with a short A sound on all syllables. It's hilarious b/c it's spelled pajamas, like pj's! LOL

She's got legs...

I'm practicing my skills with some tasteful, burlesque style photos. I think these could make great Valentine's Day gifts and I want to get them just right. This was one of my favorite shots from a first attempt. I'm looking for volunteers to practice more before advertising if anyone is interested in being my guinea pig.
