On several occasions while editing pics I've discovered Cast Members looking directly into my camera. I don't know if it's just instinct or part of the famous Disney hospitality but there's no doubt that people respect The Camera.

Disney September 25

I couldn't resist sharing a few more pics from our first day at Disney! Of course I had to include a castle pic and the other two are from Mad Tea Party (aka: the teacups). This ride shut down for refurbishment on the 26th so we made a special trip to the Magic Kingdom on our arrival day just so we could ride. :)

I'm still editing pics but will have vacation photos all week. This is a pic from last Saturday and as soon as I can I'll get one (or more) up from Sunday. Hopefully I'll be able to share some of my fave shots from each day and fill you in on a bit of the fun we had!

I'm seeing RED

The fall weather has arrived but this tree seems to be ahead of all the others so far!

Here's my shot from yesterday, I'm having issues with my computer lagging and it's having memory trouble with the RAW files, so I guess it's back to JPEG for me until I get a better computer! This is at the Rolla craft fair yesterday.

I did take pictures today, but I'm having computer problems with uploading my photos, so I'll post them tomorrow!

Time to charge my battery!

So, since Hope is traveling home tomorrow, my week off from taking shots is over! It's been nice to take a break and just mess around with some editing. I think I would have been frustrating shooting this week knowing that I could be taking pictures in Disney World! LOL. So, tomorrow I'll get back to work! I have seen quite a few shots in the past week that I didn't take, hopefully I will continue to be inspired! I also hope the trees start changing soon!

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!

or MNSSHP to those of us that spend way too much time on Disney boards. LOL. Hope and her family are there tonight, it's their last night in the World and they are going out with a bang! The Halloween party has trick-or-treating, dance parties, villain meet & greets, a special parade, and Hallowishes, a special Halloween fireworks show.

I admit it, I watched the clock and at exactly 8:30 (9:30 in Florida), I watched a Youtube of Hallowishes so I could see what Hope was seeing at that moment! It's ok, you can call me a dork.

Hope was back at Epcot today! I didn't have time to post earlier, it's been a busy day. Here's one of my favorite shots from Epcot last year as the sun was setting.

Hope is in Magic Kingdom today!!!!!!! This is one of my favorite shots ever b/c I was SO lucky to get it! At the end of this show, they only fire off those fireworks once, and I caught it right at the perfect moment!

Hope called me last night and they are having a great time! Today will be the first of her two Epcot visits! Here's a shot from our trip to Epcot last year...

Today Hope should be arriving in WDW! I decided that since we were supposed to go as well and I would have taken a vacation from the blog, that I would post a shot from our trip last year that coincides with Hope's trip. So...
Right about now, I'm thinking that Hope is seeing THIS!!!!!!

It's FALL!

Better late than never, right? Here's my shot for yesterday at our annual homeschool Fall Equinox party. We went to a new park and the kids loved it (from what I was told!) ;)

One more before I go...

Oops!

I am so busy editing pics and getting ready for my vacation that I forgot to post yesterday. I've given up on editing until I get back but will still offer two wedding pics for today that were taken during the ceremony.

I MUST walk away from my computer now and watch Survivor. I've been editing all day long and I have learned a TON about my editing software, but not gotten as much done as I thought. Here are a couple of my favorite shots from today. I wasn't just doing selective coloring, I knew how to do that, but it's the easiest "editing" to show you.

A few shots during the ceremony- I love these candid shots that show the pure emotion on their faces. They alternate between joyful and pure love which is exactly the feeling that surrounded the entire day. <3

I'm not sure I can post just ONE of my favorites that I edited today! I'm having a good time doing it, I feel like there's a learning curve I think I'm getting a better eye. I will admit I'm a sucker for this filter called "duplex". I love the way it looks, I think I could do every single picture I take from now on in it. LOL

Posting a wedding pic that looks fine on my computer but noisy (grainy) on Facebook. I wanted to see how it looked here on the blog for comparison.

Since I have spent most of the day editing, I figured posting my edited pics was just as good as having actually taken any pics today! I've spent more time editing than shooting at this point! LOL. I'm enjoying it for the most part, I wish I wasn't such a perfectionist b/c I just can't get all the shots perfect like I would want to. Here are a couple that I played around with for a different look. The Bride & Groom will get them in traditional colors as well, but I wanted to give them a little bit of variety, and in some cases it actually looked better.

Whew!!

I had NO idea wedding photography would be so physically demanding! I am EXHAUSTED but I also had LOTS of fun. This wedding was so much fun to shoot because a)the bride was beautiful and b) these two just have so much fun together that it's contagious. I am so happy to have been a part of their day and I hope they are as happy with the pictures as I am.

Like Karen, I took over 2000 shots and will be busy all week editing so I don't know how much time I'll have to shoot daily... but wouldn't you rather see wedding pics anyway. ;-)

Wedding photography is a lot of work!

WOW. Challenging would be the word of the weekend for me, but it is paying off! I got some beautiful shots at the wedding, now I just have to edit and process them. You may be getting wedding shots for the rest of the week, I think I took at least that many pics in just one day! Here are two shots to cover the shots I didn't post this weekend:

WEDDING DAY!!

Karen and I have a VERY busy day today! We have to be up early to help our friend decorate the reception hall. I'll have about an hour and a half to eat and change my clothes while Karen (who has some other work obligations) will only have about 45 minutes before we will meet the bride for her hair appointment and then go to the wedding site to begin helping her get ready and take pictures before the wedding. After the wedding we'll take a few pics at the reception before we are able to take off our photographer hats and simply enjoy the evening with our friends. :-)

It should be a full but wonderful day and we're both excited for our friend but will be too busy to post pics on the blog. Rest assured we will be taking HUNDREDS of pictures on Saturday and will hopefully have some beautiful pics to post on Sunday.

I came home from the rehearsal dinner for the wedding Karen and I are shooting tomorrow to find this. <3

The room was completely dark except for the glow of the tv so I had to use my flash (which I HATE to do!) but it did give me a chance to see how my on camera flash diffuser works on people in dark rooms. Plus I HAD to have a picture of this.

Tonight was the dress rehearsal for our friend's wedding, so here's a shot I took but I won't be posting tomorrow at all! Wedding stuff all day long and the reception won't be over until midnight or later. I promise you'll get lots of shots on Sunday though! :o)

Hmmm, to RAW or not to RAW

I need to do some reading and see what my choices are here. Today I thought I would shoot in raw and see if there was a difference in my editing, I'm thinking I should shoot in raw for the wedding so I can edit easier...
I'm not sure there's a difference? The things I did to edit didn't seem to be much different than when I shoot in jpeg...Argh! I'm just not sure. Here's my shot for the day. BTW Hope, I was doing this at the same time you were posting a pic of Carrie's daughter! She's a good subject! LOL

I took this earlier in the evening and didn't care for it AT ALL. I was going to take another pic to post but got distracted by kids. (They both wanted me to play a board game but couldn't agree so I had to play two, lol.) I was about to go to bed when I remembered I hadn't posted today so you get this yucky shot. *shrug*
